I know how you feel too. In the 8 years we had Jazzie, we only left her behind once with a friend. Since they had a poodle, we assumed they would know to groom her and left them with the tools they will need to care for her. Well, I come home a week later and poor Jazzie was sooooo matted! I was in tears! Apparently the poodle (his name is Killer) is as randy as Austin Powers and wouldn't leave her alone!

To this day, if a dog gets around to her rear end, she will growl and snap at them!

Take the advise about and talk to your groomer or vet. If you are chummy with any of the staff, ask them privately if they would watch your baby. That way they are not put on the spot for not make more $$ for the owners.

If I had to do it again that's what I would do. One will keep your baby nice and clean and the other will know how to handle any medical emergencies.
