[QUOTE=yougetthesmiles]She is the only waitress and the other 2 girls that she works with is the cook and a cashier, and get this, they also have a inside lobby and the cashier waits on the few tables they have inside, but she DONT share her tips, she keeps them ALL!
I just think that she should not have to share them and why is my daughter only making $2.15 and the cashier is making min (5.15) and is waiting on tables and keeping her tips. something is fishy!!![/QUOTE
IMO all I can say is shame, shame on the states that allow a business to only pay a wage of $2.15 an hour regardless of what job they do. Missy, people in your state need to petition to get the wage law changed. Does your daughter sew ? Does she have any hobbies? Maybe she could try to get a job with a fun place like Michaels or a hobby store, is there any near you?
How many hours is she working a week? Maybe the owner will relook at it like this without her being there as a waitress, they wouldn't have the orders to cook and the cashier wouldn't have the bill to charge customers so looks to me like there wouldn't be a business to worry about who gets what. I wish the best for your daughter, by the way Missy what is your daughters goal in school and does she plan to go onto college and major in what? Patti |
