I feel your pain - it is so hard to leave them. I'm very lucky that my mom or daughter can keep our boys. I definitely would not leave her at home with the neighbor walking her a couple of times per day. Don't you think she would be horribly lonely at home for 10 days all by herself. I know my boys would not be happy at all. I think she might be scared at times too.
It's really hard, but I would try to find someone to keep her at their home or someone to stay with her at your home.
