Default Hard to do what is right for Gizmo!

I know how difficult it can be to give up a puppy one has; I once re-homed a Yorkie as it was not a good time for me-and therefore him- due to illness. Three years ago I was able to find Kia, who is with me constantly; I am hoping to acquire another Yorkie as a playmate for Kia, as there is only one other dog she sees even semi-regularly, and that one is not interested inplaying. I live rurally, so my dog has walks through the bush, fields, etc, hunts for mice and frogs, but she loves nothing better than to play with another dog her own size. Living on a very low disability income makes it impossible to purchase another, but I always keep my eyes out, knowing that somewhere there is another Yorkie looking for a full-time mum and sister!

I agree it is good that you are concerned about Gizmo's lifestyle and happiness; perhaps there will be a better time for you and your wife to raise another puppy. As you know, they do take a lot of attention-even if it doesn't seem so at first. I am still training Kia for her CD-she has her TT, and CGN, and two legs of her Rally-O Novice title. She likes Agility, but transportation and finances limit our participation in that at this time. I find that Kia love to keep busy-when she is not sleeping-and she will do that at the drop of a hat!
