I have one of those fire hydrants from Drs. Foster & Smith for Drake, and let me tell you....IT WORKS!!! He has been neutered since I got him at a VERY young age (12 weeks) and I was told he would never hike his leg to pee....YEAH RIGHT!! He hikes his leg every chance he gets, which is why he loves to go outside! I was having problems with him and the training, and I saw that hydrant and figured what the heck! My hubby and kids laughed at me, but I ordered it and when it came, I showed it to him, let him smell it and get acquainted with it and then set it in the middle of his pee pad and within 2 minutes, he walked right over, hiked up his leg and peed and has been ever since! It's hilarious and people always laugh, but hey...whatever works!
I don't know about a female though, but because of the "attractant" that's in it, it just might!
Good luck!
