When I worked at Olive Garden, the servers made $2.13, the bussers $6 & the hostesses $6.50. It was common curtisy for the servers to tip the bussers because if you have good bussers you can make good tips. The server however did not have a set amount to tip & could tip as they saw fit, I believe they also tipped the bartenders. Us hostesses didn't get tips unless someone was really happy with our seating. I had an older gentlement tip me $5 bucks one night because I kept him company as much as I could why he waiting for the rest of his party...it was more than he tipped his server
