I first noticed it right at 8 months. Then a
little bit more around 10 months. After she turned a year old there was a big difference. Some people I have talked to said that it was when their dogs were 1 1/2 or 2. Sadie is not quite two yet and she's calm most of the time. But she IS still a terrier & likes to play. But there is a big difference in her now. I went home sick last week one day & she wanted to play when I got home. Of course, all I wanted to do was lay down. After just a few minutes, she got the idea and laid down with me and we both took a nap together.
She still sometimes does stuff to push my buttons...when she wants attention (as if she doesn't get plenty of that anyway). But when she does that we play for a few minutes & then she's calm again.
