I took Belle back to the vets yesterday for her follow-up after surgery. The good news is that she can eat I/D food now, well for the next 2 weeks. She is excited about that because it is canned. Unfortunetly though earlier that morning we noticed swelling aroun te bite area and she had a fever
There is fluid build up around the area of attack. They are uncertain of whether the tear opened back up or if there is just some retention fluid happening. We have to keep a close eye on her fever and swelling. She seems to be acting pretty good, so I am hoping that it is just post-surgery fluid. Her pups are doing great and they are over 4 weeks
I have grown so attatched to them that it will be hard to sell them. Well thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers. Annabelle and the puppies definitly heard them.
