You might want to check with employment agencies in your area. Let them know that you are interested in working from home and to keep you in mind if they hear anything, especially if you can type really well and do transcription.
Also, it really wouldn't hurt to send a resume to offices in your area. There are alot of times a company needs someone to do some typing from home.
I feel fortunate to work in the evenings so I'm home all day. I work at a very large law firm which has a second shift, and I've been here for 20 years. I feel like I've had the best of both worlds, as I could still be home with my children while making extra money, and I didn't need a sitter because my husband works day shift and was home with them while I was at work.
