There are a lot of breeders that regularly do c-sections on their bitches. I am not one of them but I do know several that do. Most Pekingese are all c-sectioned and bull dogs and many others. However there is a risk to the bitch. So what you need to decide is, is it worth it to you.

I raised three litters for a well known Pekingese breeder and all were c-sectioned, sure beats staying up all night , waiting for puppies. Being a breeder is a big commitment and it means loosing a lot of sleep. Some of the older breeders just do the sections because it is easier on themselves. The bitches recover quite fast and do not seem to be in much pain past a day or two. If your bitch has a lot to offer, then I say go for it , but if she is just your beloved pet, don't take the risk. Most of the time I think a bitch can have at least three and sometimes more sections, depends on what the vet says each time he is in there.
