Some breeders will give you some of the food they have been eating so you don't have to buy a big bad of something you are only going to use for a week. Yes, even the smallest bag is a big bag when it comes to a yorkie.
I have been feeding Iams (dry only) since I got my first yorkie 5 years ago. I have never had any health problems and everyone is the right weight. Ok, well maybe she could use to lose 1/2 to 3/4 or a pound, but everyone else is the right size. 2 of my dogs have had dentals. My oldest had her teeth rotting out of her mouth when I got her so I had to and a couple of moths ago I took Lily in (the above mentioned). She walked in with a full set of teeth and was carried out with a full set of teeth. My other dogs have never needed them. |
