This is perfectly normal! His hair is just changing color, so it just looks like he is balding! We thought the same thing with our yorkie, Hobbs. We took him to the groomer and when he came back, he looked like he was BALD!
But, we then realized that the hair on top of his head was just changing colors.
Surely your little guy isn't going bald.
