Ginger got spayed on the 21st of June. Her incision was only about 1/2 inch long. It only had two stitches in it. You just about can't even find it right now. I always thought when they did laser surgery, there wasn't ANY stitches!?!? I thought the advantage of the laser was to prevent stitches and scaring. Guess I was wrong. Not the first time I've been wrong!! So, I called my vet. Yep. I was wrong. They said that with laser surgery, there is less
blood loss because they are carterizing (sp) the incision as they cut. But that there ARE stitches. They did say that they thought that 10 stitches was a bit much!!
Seems to me that either your vet got a little wild with the surgery, or there was more to it than just spaying Baby. She's ok tho, right?
