In the dog world, they say once a C-section always a planned C-section. I, personally, would spay her just because of the expense if nothing else.
On a personal note, my first daughter was born by C-section (breach) and 22 years ago they also said once a C-section always a C-section because of the risk of the prior scar opening; however, my second daugther was born natural (3 years later). I was the first in my ob-gyn's practice to do this. I did a lot of research and opted for a natural delivery because it seemed to me that the anesthesia was a higher risk. I also had what they call a bikini incision (horizontal, rather than vertical) so the risks were lower with this type of incision. |
