i just got back from the vet just an hour ago to find out my muffie is due to have her puppies at the end of aug.....omg how exciting!!!!! anyway, she told me to use flea medicine on her...it is ok. you dont want your mommy to get tape worms and pass it down to the puppies. tape worms will stay n the uterus and when she delivers the puppies, it will be passed on to the puppies. then the mommy will lick the puppies to clean them and then will be passed on to her and then it could be passed on to the family.
so yes...it is ok
