Well, I just annoyed both my sleeping yorkies to check and both of them have larger pads on the front paws than the rear. They look pretty normal in the pictures, I think. Brandy used to chew her nails all the time until they were shredded. It drove me crazy. She just seemed to grow out of it. We never found a cause. It just seemed like a bad habit, like a person who chews his fingernails. She still does it occasionally but not very often.
