I don't think of $400 as a very high price for a cute little Yorkie.

"Adoption" and "selling" are just words. He could say for the same reasons that he needs to "sell" his pup -- but "adoption" sounds nicer.

SO - if he doesn't want to drop down as much as you'd like -- still consider yourself getting a good little dog for a very fair price.

And - we all have to neuter our pups anyway - even if we pay $2500 for them.

Good luck! He obviously loves that little dog a lot - and is really looking for just the right home.

PS: Please realize that you may loose this little guy - if you want him to come down on his price too much. Just a thought!
