We purchased a puppy in May of last year. When we tried to register her through the AKC we got a letter back in the mail stating that the puppy did not belong to the parents or something along those lines and that the puppy could not be registered. Im not really concerned about it so much because she has already been spayed but, it really ticks me off that someone would show me the supposed mom and dad of the puppy... 1. how do they determine if the puppy belongs to the parents or not because as far as i know the puppy was never dna tested? 2. what can be done to the breeder if she has infact sold a puppy under false pretenses?
