It's true - a dog you might adopt may be very healthy and cost $400 (or even more) ----

But - another little dog may have cost $2500 in vet's bills and he is being adopted out for less - perhaps because of his age, his health, etc.

A lot of people think adopting or rescuing a dog might be a great way to save money -- we shouldn't think of it that way -

What we are doing is paying (donating) a "reasonable price for the dog we get" to the rescue service to help pay their costs and expenses for all their animals and help them find homes for all the animals they have......the young, the old, the healthy, the less healthy, and the most or less popular breeds.

We had a post recently about a pup that just had $6000 in vet bills. The fees that are paid for all the dogs will help offset this little guys bills - and he can go to a good home too - for a reasonable price.
