I agree that it is normal for quite a while. Loki would literally pee every 5-10 mins. I started to notice that it improve around 4 months, then again around 5-6 months. He is finally down to once every 1-3 hours (depending on the time of day) and he can go at least 5 hours in his crate. I've never left him longer than that but if it was during the day he could probably go 8. He also sleeps through the night now. (He's 1.5 yrs)
I would ask your vet about the shots thing. We started housetraining right away and Loki had only had 2 rounds of shots. I think they are OK once they have their second set of shots, especially if you have a yard and your other pets (if you have them) are vaccinated. But ask your vet.
Anyway, Loki is completely housetrained. It just took a while (like until he was about 11 months old) Now is it 100% Oh and he got the pooping outside thing down months before he stopped peeing in the house. He has some medical issues though, so that could have contributed to that. Your pup may pick it up sooner, but don't expect perfection until they are much older! But it's never too late to show them where the right spot is!
