When we go to a hotel and have to leave Mitzi alone we always bring her travel play pen, her blanky, some toys and loooots of treats. We always ask at reservation for a room away from the 'traffic' areas like stairwells, elevators etc. We leave the TV on and fairly loud so she doesn't hear so much the people walk by. We put up the 'Do not disturb' sign at the door and inform the desk of the situation. The longest we leave her alone is about 2 to 3 hours. She is doing very well and we never had any problems but she is used to be left alone at home and just needs her ' trigger phrase': You have to stay and be good! Then everything is o.k.
