I think I would have waited also.
Both my Chan's were done on an emergency basis so we didn't have the "torture" of waiting. It must be on your mind constantly.
Chan just had his last surgery on June 29 and we are headed for week 4 of recovery! Being this is the 2nd knee in 3 monthes - if there's any questions or anything I can tell you, please feel free to ask...
