We live on 4 acres in the country, but a highway goes by our home. I always put Max on a leash. He knows if we go out the back walkout he doesn't have to be on a leash as it is all pasture behind our home and wooded area. He walks right along side me. I just don't trust him out front. If he would see a rabbit or any animal, I am afraid he would run after it and go on the road.
