Maybe you should just keep her a little longer then and see if the fontanel closes up some - might give you some peace of mind before letting her leave your home. I guess I would be a little concerned about the age of the kids - at 6 and 7, I would be concerned about how they handled the puppy.

Go with your gut - if it tells you to hang onto the puppy, then you should - I'm sure your daughter will understand. Maybe wait until the puppy is a year old and see where she's at and if she's doing well, then re-visit the idea of your daughter adopting her.
