I had a 3 liter Diet Coke explode in the front seat of the car once. Scared me to death and was a real mess. Luckily, it was diet - no sticky stuff! But I nearly wrecked the car!
Not fun. Now I always keep a box in the trunk and sit it there. No more groceries in the front.
