Some are just greasier than others. I did hair for a while and for human hair a trick is to rub baby powder on it. I don't know if they make powders that are safe for dogs, but you'd just put it on a sock, or cloth, and rub it on. It'll absorb a lot of the oil. Maybe you could do that once a week between baths.
