I got a yorkie at 17 months and changed his name. I had read a thread here about it and most people said it was no problem and it totally wasn't. He knew his new name within a day. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I think they just respond to your tone of voice naturally so it makes it easy. My daughter loves to tease me by calling my other dog, Gracie, Barky. She'll call out "here Barky"! And poor little Gracie comes running. Anyway, I say go for it! Congrats on your new baby! |
