yorkies has a oil in there skin, thats why sometimes they look greasy, that oil keeps there skin from drying out, so if you use a human shampoo on them your taking that oil away from them and giving them dry skin, they say the ph balance in human shampoo is different from pet shampoo, I use Tropiclean and I get it from petco, it has a great smell to it and I use the conditioning spray and it smells just the same, my formula I have is for puppies so it's tearless, I paid $20 for both products and it lathers so good and I have had these 2 bottles for over 4 months
