I don't want to scare you, but my mother n laws Bichon had that on her bottom. The vet advised surgery, but she did not get a chance to do it. They had to put it off twice. It burst a couple of nights before christmas. It burst inside not on the outside and when the dog was feeling lethargic and wouldn't even go outside they thought she was just feeling under the weather. She threw up a couple of times, but they did not think it was that serious!! Her dog did not make it through the night. That was my mother in laws experience and to be honest Belle had this going on for years. It would go down, then come back,and she had to have surgery 3 times in her life for stones.
I am not telling you to do the surgery that is only a decision you can make. I only wanted to share Belles story. Belle was 11 years old and overweight. We all still miss her very much! Good luck to you!! I will keep you all in my prayers. |
