you may want to have a comb or brush on hand, yorkies tend to get tangles easy, plus you will want a good shampoo, I use Tropiclean and I love it, it smells so good, you can buy it at petco.
it may be a good idea to buy a baby blanket and when you find the right breeder, take it to her so the mommy of your puppy can sleep on it to get her scent on it, this will help you when you take your puppy home, the blanky will have the moms scent on it. when I took Lillie home, she laid on her blanket in the car.
I use a expen, I like it better then a crate, you can get it open easier, there not so confind.

ohh by the way, I live close to you! I'm in Indiana and it tends to get cold, so yes! a sweater is a good idea!
my Lillie is pee pad trained, so she doesnt have to go outside in the cold.
