Just from my personal experience, the taping is actually what helped my Schatzi's ears stand. So in my case, I believe it does work. I had her ears shaved after I got her, but her ears were still floppy for about a week. I massaged them, etc. but there was no difference. Then on Tuesday of this week I decided "what the heck" and I just used masking tape on each ear, and then put a strip of tape between them to join them together so they were up straight. I kept the tape on for 24 hours and when I took the tape off, her ears were up! And they have not gone down at all. You could try it, it can't hurt to at least try if all else fails. Good luck!
