klogan klogan - keep in mind my last dog had a really bad chronic mouth infection so it was common for him to lick all the time and drool (not a lot). My lab snapped/bit twice at my current yorkie since I've had her which has been about 2 months now and both times she drooled a lot immediately afterwards but it stopped; it was her pain/fear response at the time. Maybe your little one is just in discomfort from teething and licking/drooling is his pain response. Or, from the sounds of it from what other people wrote, licking sounds like a typical yorkie thing. But, why the couch only??? Does he lick other things or just the couch?
