Alright, so it has been determined that yorkie Puppies are ideally supposed to have 28% protein in their diet and adult yorkies are supposed to have 18% protein in their diet. I feed my yorkies Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers' Soul, which has 28% protein...right on the money. But, I also feed them Missing Link supplement, which seems to be the only thing that has helped with their dry itchy skin. The protein content of the Missing Link is 18%, although I am not sure of the serving size. Does this mean that they are getting too much protein in their diet? I know too much protein could cause liver damage. Any ideas?!
