Default Potty Training Help?

I know what it's like to have a dog that hates the crate. I mentioned that I had a larger dog that I adopted with issues and he hated the crate. He went wild when he was in there. He pooped all over it and then it was like he threw it all over the walls of the room the crate was in. I don't know how he did it but is was a mess everytime. He would shred the blanket that was in there. He would also be bleeding on his face because he was trying to eat his way out of the metal crate!!!! It was awful!
I don't know what to tell you, but I know what my trainer would tell you. He would say, Just put him in there, close the gate and walk away. No blankets, food or water since he destroys everything. Would it be possible for you to get a friend, a responsible 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grader in your neighborhood that wants to make a few bucks a week, to come over and take him out while you are at work?

The trainer that my big dog was sent to before I picked him up for adoption also crate trained dogs, and there were many puppies at his place being crate trained because the owners just didn't have the patience to do it. Could you try something like that? Our trainer had our big dog crate trained perfectly, but I was the one that ruined it because I felt sorry for him. The day I left him out of the crate was the last day he ever went back in it willingly. A hugh mistake that was. The trainer told me not to let him run the house, but I didn't listen. He didn't destroy anything, but I would find poops in places.

I dread it when my kids all go back to school and I have to leave Summer in her crate because I have to go into the office. Those will be long time periods for her and I am hoping that my husband can run home and pay some attention to her.

Well, I have to leave for work, I hope some of these suggestions have helped. Believe me, I feel your pain.
