Ytsirk - I really went out of my way to give you a lot of credit and respect for what you want to do.
And - just so you know - I think that probably people who can take an animal or two into their home and care for it can probably do a better job than the Human Society can do. And, for sure, donations" are a large part of anyone's ability to care for a lot of animals.
If you an get a government grant (????) that would be wonderful.
I mentioned several ways that you can work with neglected, homeless animals. There is always room for more help - and you have the heart and desire, and I'm sure you can do a lot.
Please reread my post. I was only trying to give you a few things to consider - but in no way was I trying to discourage you from the work you want to do.
If I were younger, I would love to take care of a lot of animals too, but I know for sure I couldn't afford it (equipment, cages, dog runs, food, vet care, etc. etc.) and I definitely don't have the right facility. But, if you can get all this together, then I admire anything and everything you can do.
*** I will admit that if I saw you getting all this together - and it appeared to be a viable setup with an appropriate facility and the proper credentials - I would donate money to your efforts.
I'm behind you 100% --- and admire your efforts - no need to be offended by anything I have said. I hope that you can do all the things you want to do.
