Such a sad story! So sorry for your mums loss.
I agree with others that the new mom and and pups should have been confined... away from all other dogs.... for protection as well as for health reasons (not to expose the pups to anything).
When the mommy dog's milk dries up she should be back to her old self.
Again.... so sorry....
