Default Breeding my Yorkie for the first time.

I want to breed my little girl for the 1st time. She is 1 1/2 yrs old and getting ready to come into her 3rd heat. I've breed other dogs in the past (15 yrs ago). I talk to a lady that has a 7 mo. old male that's unproven. I have a couple of question that I'm hopping someone can answer for me.
1) Is 7 mos to young for a stud? I was always told the male should be at least 9 mos old.
2) What is the going rate for an unproven stud? She wants either the pick of the litter or money. She is leaving that decision up to me. But she would prefer pick of the litter which I'm not in favor of at all.
I was under the impression that you didn't change anything for an unproven stud.
THe two should have some nice puppies too, my yourkie "Miss Scarlet" weights 5.8 lbs and the little stud "Buster" weights 3.5.

Any suggestions here would be wonderful
