Question: How is it that human products can be used on yorkies. I always thought that the ph of their skin is different from ours.

I, too, am going to buy some Redkin!!!!
Thanks for all the sweet comments, I just wish yall could see her now though. She looks like a little rag muffin!! It has been raining and her coat got all wet when she went out to potty, and she needs a bath something horrible. Trust me, she only looks good for a couple of days following her bath.

As for the human products, I too have always heard that, but I went to observe a dog show in Houston, and was visiting with someone that was showing her yorkie who had a beautiful coat and when I asked her what she used, she told me Salon Selectives from Wal-Mart. Boy was I shocked! My personal feeling is that human shampoo can be a little to drying to their skin, so I do use dog shampoo, but as far as the conditioner, it really only coats the hair so to me I don't think it could be to bad. So far I have not had any problems with human conditioners and styling products. But I did use human shampoo once and Mia got a bit of dandruf as a result of it.
