No, just the mouth. The eggs are harmless, it's the larva in the fleas that can be transmitted. Fleas eat tapeworm eggs (the squirmy stuff that girl found in her bed) then the leggs hatch in the fleas becomming larva in thier Flea tummies. Then the dog eats the infected fleas. The dead flea will be on it's tounge or in it's mouth and then he licks a human or "kisses" as some people say. This transfers the dead flea with the live tapeworm larva to the human mouth. The human unknowingly swallows it and the tapeworms grow inside of the human body.
So it goes tapeworm eggs--->Fleas eat them--->dog eats fleas--->dog licks human mouth and transmits the dead flea w/tapeworm larva into the human.
Of course it happens more with kids. Some kids like to eat dirt, sand, or bugs like fleas. This leaves the dog part of it out since the kid is eating the tapeworm infected fleas directly.
Whatever happens, just get rid of the fleas.
