I have been brushing Buddy's teeth since I first got him at 14weeks. I read
all kinds of horror stories about a Yorkie's teeth and gums if they are not
properly taken care of. We brush with doggie toothpaste and a childs electric
toothbrush(battery operated) each morning. I then give him a Fresh Bite
which has a whitner and parsley in it for the breath. He also chews rawhide
the rolled kind that looks like a manacotti which he can not get pieces off.
He just went for his 2yr check up. Vet said his teeth were in great shape
along with his gums, so I guess it works. If this helps to keep him from having
to go under it is worth it. Eventually he will need a dental cleaning but not
yet! My daughter-in-law said she never saw a dogs teeth so
white. Makes me feel good that I am doing the best I can for him.
