My vet said that actually brushing their teeth isn't crucial when they are this young - especially if they still have a lot of their baby teeth. It IS however important to start getting them used to you poking around in their mouth, handling their mouth, touching their gums with your finger, etc. as early as possible. This will prepare them as you work up to a toothbrush (or fingerbrush). You can even use the toothpaste on your finger to start out. The sooner you get them started, the easier it will likely be in the long run.
