So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard that can be especially when it happens so suddenly. I lost my beautiful maltese Nicki in May. I had taken her to the vet to have her eyes checked as it appeared she might be getting an infection. While at the vets, in the exam room, waiting for the vet to come in, she went into congestive heart failure. They did all they could but couldnt save her. Even offered to try CPR to revive her but I couldnt do that to her as the vet said that if she came out of it, it would probably happen again in a few months. I didnt want her to suffer so I had to let her go. She was 13 years old in February. I will always miss her as I know you will miss your Phoebe. But, I wouldnt have missed the experience of having her in my life.
