I personally don't have a problem with Angelina Jolie, so I am going to be the Devil's Advocate here. I think what makes her interesting, and probably what makes so many people not like her, is that she just does not give a sh*t about what other people think about her. I think that is WONDERFUL! In a society obsessed with celebrities and obsessed with appearance, she is someone who is not ashamed to be different. So what if she wears a vile of blood around her neck??...who cares if she is so close to her brother that she can kiss him on the lips??...so what if she wants to have her American child in Africa?? I think she is absolutely gorgeous. I also commend her for doing something productive with her fame, like trying to make the world a better place, than doing nothing but buy things and go out and get wasted every night like all the other worthless stuff that celebrities do. As I recall from the tabloids, she is not "ashamed" of Shiloh...she is just protecting her from the papparazzi just like Tom and Katie are doing with Suri. Angelina's own father, John Voit, said that this is the happiest he has ever seen his daughter. (And I know he and Angelina are estranged, but he nevertheless said that she was happy.) The tabloids also said that she had her baby oversees to escape the papparazzi and so that her child would be cultured. I think that is so great. And who cares if she adopts a child from oversees instead of one here in America. Do you have any idea how long the adoption process here in America takes and how tedious it is? It is SOO much easier to adopt a child from oversees. A child saved is a child saved, no matter where it comes from. And I agree with whoever said earlier that you cannot steal someone's husband who wasn't already gone in the first place. |
