I have two! Tilly (10yr) & Sami (5mo) and it is almost difficult to tell because tilly being older & pushy was always eating both hers and his, so I put sami's bowl in my bedroom near his crate and left tilly's in the laundry room, she still eats his no matter where I put it! and it has helped by separating the bowls so I just make sure both their bowls have food & water at all times but they really don't eat all their food in one sitting, I noticed sami will grab a morsel and sit and eat it one at a time! and then retrive another, tilly will stand over her bowl and eat but there is always food left in her bowl and as well in his, so this seems to work for them? I have always free fed tilly she has always been fed this way, but should their water bowl be empty they both will talk(bark) and let me know they need water..
