i had just read that the female can produce up to 200 eggs during a 3-5 day cycle. each one of these days, an egg can be fertilized. and also, in the same article i finally found out what the runt of the litter is..... if a female was bred on the last day, it can take 3 days for the egg to be fertilized so an egg that was fertilized on the first day, this pup could be up to a week older than the last. so the last fertilized egg is the runt since it didnt have as much time to develope than the first.
