We got Jaxon in mid January and he would have been just about 4 months old. I started him in puppy class around 5 months, then beginner obedience around 7 months. He's 10 months now and I'll probably wait until late August before starting intermediate agility (too many trips/holidays).

I worked on tricks with him - probably about 5 minutes a day. Also we go for daily walks so I tried to get him to heel a little, but that's a tough one. He still isn't great on 'come' - only when he feels like it!

Just keep at it - they are smart little guys but they can be stubborn. I found obedience class extremely frustrating but he proved to me in the end that he could do all the commands.
