Is it me or?? I think their theory is that you'll take better care of an animal if you pay for it(and the more you pay, the better you'll treat it). I'd say that's kind of true. If the pet is priced too low you run the risk of a puppy mill or backyard breeder buying it just to get puppies out of it.
I know my sister sold her one year old bulldog for $1,000. I would never pay that for an adult dog that wasn't housebroken but someone did. Then they had the special surgery that helps with breathing for bulldogs. A bulldog is a very expensive dog vet wise, she also figured it they couldn't afford to pay for the dog then they'd never be able to afford the vet bills. |
