Good morning.....if you don't want cling-ons then yes you'll need to keep her behind free of hair. All four of mine have long coats and you can't tell that their little behinds are shaved. I use a Wahl mustache clipper and it works great. Have never knicked any of them and I've been doing it for almost 3 years every other weekend. Maybe if you watch how the groomer does it the first time, it will give you more confidence to try it yourself.
