So, when I moved my dog, Britney to Philadelphia, I transferred her to the vet where my other dog has been going. She was very interested in having Britney spayed, so I asked her to figure out how much it would cost me.. she mailed it to me today... between 500.00 and 600.00! Does this sound right? When we had both our family dog and cat spayed.. I know that it couldn't have costed over 100.00. After reviewing all the charges, it looks like they charge for every possible thing (disposing needles, ecollar, etc.).

How does this sound? Is not spaying a small dog such a huge risk? The procedure itself, and the risks invovled with it, is very scary to me as well.
