Snickers had terrible separation anxiety when he was a puppy. If I went out for 20 mins and put him in the crate, he would panic and have diarrhia. He would cry and jump up and down incessantly. I'd come home to a huge mess and had to put him right in the bathtub. When he was housebroken at about 6 mos., we began giving him the run of the house while we were gone. This helped somewhat, but he would still jump and scratch at the windows and doors while we were gone. But when we brought Baxter home, he changed completely! Having the company of another dog gave him the security he needed, and it hasn't been a problem since. Good Luck!
